Deion Sanders To Have Reality Show Featuring Girlfriend Tracey Edmonds And Kids
Apart from his witty sarcasm and assault accusations on the news, Deion “Prime Time” Sanders has a heart of gold when it comes to children. He told critics that he grew up never hearing the words “I love you” from his father or stepfather, so today he showers children with those words.
A show titled “Deion’s Family Playbook” will air in March on OWN, an Oprah Winfrey Network. It will focus on the personal and professional life of Deion Sanders and his family as he raises five children while also guiding the Prime Prep Academy he launched to help underserved areas.
The whole idea sounds nice, but it was ordered by OWN before he got fired twice from that very charter school. It was also before the school’s CFO famously went to the police with accusations that Sanders had assaulted him, and more recently came forward with allegations that he nearly found his throat at the other end of Sanders’ temper.
Nonetheless, the 46-year-old Dallas Cowboys legend says the show isn’t about the fame or fortune, but about his kids… and he’s got a lot of kids. ““I’m a single father. I am single, but not alone,” said Sanders. “I have Tracey. She’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me. My mother lives with me as well. We’re raising eight kids plus another 579 at and Prime Prep Academy and another 300 at Truth, my youth organization, so I love the fact of fathering. I love parenting.”
Sanders says he doesn’t want his legacy to be remembered for his time playing football or baseball, but as one of the best fathers that ever lived.
