Snoop Dogg and Daughter Attend MTV VMAs
Recording artist Snoop Dogg, also known as Snoop Lion, attended the MTV Video Music Awards with a special guest this year. Arm in arm with his 14-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, the father-daughter duo was all smiles as they posed for photos at the celebrity-packed event over the weekend.
Although Snoop has gone through various trials in his life, Cori still aspires to be her father one day.
“It’s crazy how he can act like one person onstage but be a totally different person at home,” Cori said. “Being backstage at my dad’s concerts were amazing. He would be like ‘Put your hands in the air,’ and the whole stadium would put their hands in the air… He had so much power over the fans, and so many people love him. One day I want to be like him.”
To that end, Cori has released three singles (two with Snoop) and is in the midst of recording her debut album. The father-daughter team also collaborated with Drake in an anti-violence song titled “No Guns Allowed.”
The teenager recently accepted the trending ALS ice bucket challenge in which she allowed her brother to pour ice cold water on her head in the name of charity.
