Despite the rumors circulating around his troubled marriage with Mariah Carey, funnyman Nick Cannon is determined to write a children’s book titled “Roc and Roe’s Twelve Days of Christmas” with or without his estranged wife on board.

The comedian has been filling notebooks with poems, rhymes, jokes and witty stories since he was eight, but Scholastic announced the couple’s plan to write their first book of poems that star — in illustrations — their 3-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe (whose nicknames are Roc and Roe).

According to international publishing company, Cannon and Carey were going to write a story that “follows Roc and Roe as they put their own unique spin on the Christmas carol.” However, the parents have been separated and living in different houses for a few months, Cannon revealed on Aug. 21.

The 33-year-old actor is already at work on another picture book of poems called “Neon Aliens Ate My Homework and Other Poems,” with many of the illustrations drawn by Cannon himself.
