High School Football Player’s Post Game Speech Goes Viral
This kid’s future in football is unknown, but he could definitely be a motivational speaker!
Apollos Hester, a high school student from Austin, Texas, was interview by TWC News Austin’s Lauren Mickler after a last minute 42-41 victory at a Sept. 19 football game, and Hester gave a post-game interview that proves that he was born to inspire the world.
“At first we started slow and you know that’s alright. That’s okay because sometimes in life you’re going to start slow,” the teen said with enthusiasm.
The East View High School running back then went on to give an unexpected speech that has quickly propelled him into internet fame with the interview gaining more than 3.6 million views on YouTube.
In the speech, he talked about what it takes to be successful, fighting hard and never giving up, as well as having the right attitude.
“It takes guts, it took an attitude. That’s all it takes! That’s all it takes to be successful is an attitude!”
“You can do anything you put your mind to. Never give up on your dreams. Keep smiling no matter what you’re going through. If you fall down, just get up,” said the high school student. “If you can’t get up, your friends are there to help you up, your momma is there, your daddy is there, God’s there, I’m there, you’re there. Just keep smiling!”
This young man’s parents must be proud.
