Shawn Kemp and Son Attend Fam 1st Family Foundation Charity Event
Retired NBA player Shawn Kemp and his son Jamon attended the Fam 1st Family Foundation Charity Event at The Edgewater Hotel on December 14, 2014 in Seattle, Washington.
The father and son joined the likes of Jennifer and Joe Montana, MC Kenny Mayne and ESPN for the evening celebration hosted on behalf of the charity founded by Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks and Joshua Johnson of the San Francisco 49ers.
The two NFL players started the Fam 1st Family Foundation in 2006 with it officially forming in March 2011. According to the website, the foundation’s focus is to “improve the lives of children by mentoring them on the importance of education, literacy and self-esteem.”
Prior to becoming NFL athletes, giving back to the community and helping underprivileged youth succeed has always been a passion for both Lynch and Johnson.
“I love kids, so anytime I have an opportunity to help a kid, I’m all for it,” said Lynch.
