zendaya-yara-shahidi-glamour-awards Yara Shahidi and Zendaya perfectly demonstrated how it should be when two successful young women cross paths when they attended Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards.

The Black-ish star was in attendance to celebrate the occasion and award Zendaya with her honor and it’s safe to say that she was definitely excited to present Zendaya with her award- the two even shared a sisterly moment on the red carpet! “What sisterhood looks like! Honored to present @zendaya with @glamourmag #WOTY award last night!” she captioned the adorable photo she shared of the two stars freaking out over one another.

Zendaya made sure to let her fans know how honored she was to receive the award, and let them know that she’s with each and every one of them. “As I gazed up at a balcony full of beautiful young women “Ladies, you are the leaders. You’re the future. We need you. I’m with you, we’re all with you.””she wrote. “Thank you @glamourmag for having events like this where we honor each other, celebrate each other and look at our sisters and say thank you…I see you. What an honor.”

After the event, Yara shared that she walked away feeling like her “soul was refilled with the energy of wonderful, powerful, hopeful women”.

According to Glamour, the Zendaya/Yara lovefest continued onstage as well.

Yara Shahidi introduced her “big sister” Zendaya, a woman she described as “a girl who is changing the game, evolving expectations.” Zendaya, in response, called Shahidi “the future” when accepting her award and said she couldn’t wait to watch her accept her own some day (which, by the way, we’d love). She dedicated her speech, “To women.”
