Kelly Rowland Announces Release of First Book ‘Whoa, Baby!’
Kelly Rowland faced her own challenges as a first-time mom, but the star is hoping that what she learned can be a tool for other new moms in her book, Whoa, Baby!.
Kelly partnered up with her ob-gyn Dr. Tristan Emily Bickman to write a book with everything in it that a first time mom should know including “the gross physical stuff, the hormonal and emotional stuff, and the just plain weird stuff”, according to the book’s website.
“Dr. Bickman and I wanted to create an answer to what to expect after childbirth. No one told me what to expect physically, emotionally, or mentally,” says Rowland in a press release. “The purpose of Whoa, Baby! is to comfort the mother and give her knowledge of what’s going on with her. We cover everything!”
The 35-year-old former Destiny’s Child member is mom to 2-year-old Titan, she and her husband Tim Witherspoon’s only child.
Rowland previously told People that the best things new moms can do for their kids, in addition to loving them, is take the journey “one day at a time.” “I think that immediately, when I became pregnant, the first thing you think [about] is just doing a perfect job,” she explained. “You can’t think about it like that because love is the perfect job. It’s protecting them and making sure that they’re happy and that they’re going to be safe.”
Head on over to Whoa, Baby!‘s website to find out more info on the new book or pre-order your own copy. Whoa, Baby! is set to hit bookstores on March 28.
