Madonna confirms via Instagram that she’s adopted two adorable twins from Malawi!

The 58-year-old entertainer confirmed the news via a touching Instagram message Wednesday writing, “I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family,” She wrote,  “I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time.”

This news comes weeks after a representative for Madonna denied reports claiming she was adopting more children from the country.

Madonna has a long history with Malawi- the “Like A Prayer” singer adopted Malawian children David and Mercy, both 11, in 2006 and 2009. In addition, she established the non-profit Raising Malawi that provides health and education programs. People reports that sometime in 2017, “the philanthropic group will build Malawi’s first pediatric surgery and intensive care unit, the Mercy James Institute for Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care.”
