Meet Logan! American Girl Introduces it’s First Ever Boy Character Doll

By  |

American Girl has added a new addition to its collection, and it’s a boy!

Logan Everett is American Girl’s first boy character added to its pricey, coveted collection. Sporting a trendy tee and sneakers, Logan is musically inclined just like his band-mate Tenney who will be released with Logan on February 16th.

American Girl has seen an increasing interest of male dolls which led them to create Logan. According to Today, “A boy character has been a top request from our fans for decades,” Julie Parks, a Spokesperson for American Girl, explained. “We do an enormous amount of research with girls and their parents, and the one thing we’ve heard loud and clear is a desire for more — specifically more characters and stories from today — with more experiences, more diversity, and more interests.”

According to Today, American Girl plans to release diverse characters throughout 2017. “The 2017 character lineup will include additional modern characters as well as two new historical characters, all of which the company hopes will speak to even more customers and families.”

Along with Logan, American Girl is releasing an entire group of diverse characters to its collection, like its 2017 Doll of the Year, Gabriela McBride.
