Tia Mowry Welcomed as Giggle N’ Hugs Newest Celebrity Brand Ambassador
Tia Mowry-Hardrict has come a long way since starring as the curly haired twin to her identical counterpart on the hit show Sister, Sister on our television screens back in the early 90s. Although the 38-year-old took some time off from the entertainment business to study psychology at Pepperdine University, she has managed to maintain enough footing to be a successful working actress for 20+ years. Mowry-Hardrict added yet another dimension to her career by stepping into the food world with the start of her 2015 Cooking Channel series Tia Mowry at Home. And due to the transformative role that food has played in her life, Mowry-Hardrict can now include another food-related move to her list of endeavors. The actress recently partnered with Giggles N’ Hugs Inc as their newest celebrity brand ambassador.
Giggles N’ Hugs is the first and only restaurant chain of its kind that seeks to help make the concept of family-friendly restaurants meet health, high-end organic food with active entertainment and playtime for children. Their menus are made from fresh food grown locally and their entertainment sets feature puppet and magic shows. Apparently, Mrs. Mowry-Hardrict and her small family of three are regulars at the franchise.
“We’re very excited to have Tia join the Giggles N’ Hugs team as our newest celebrity brand ambassador. Tia will be a great asset to our already exceptional team as we move ahead with our expansion plans and product launches in the coming quarters. As a brand ambassador of Giggles N’ Hugs, Tia will be getting the word out about all of our products and services to her massive global audience across all platforms, including social media, print, TV and other digital media outlets. She will also be making appearances at new store grand openings and other media events to discuss and promote all things Giggles N’ Hugs,” Giggles N’ Hugs CEO Joey Parsi said in a press release.
It is a very lucrative idea for the company in terms of creating awareness. With Mowry-Hardrict as a brand ambassador, the company can benefit from her platforms of millions of followers (10 million plus to be exact), as well as the viewers that experience her through her hit cooking show.
Mowry-Hardrict just wrapped up the third season of Tia Mowry at Home and released her first cookbook this March titled Whole New You where she shares her passion for cooking and eating healthy whole foods. It was a lifestyle change that derived from being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2006. Endometriosis is a condition where tissue that normally grows inside of the uterus grows on the outside of the uterus.
Admittedly, the disorder is something that has made it difficult for Mowry-Hardrict to conceive a second child with her husband and is often a rather debilitating disorder that 1 in 10 women suffer from. The pain associated with endometriosis has been described as agonizing and can be felt in the lower back, lower abdomen, pelvis, rectum, and/or vagina and can accompany cramping, painful menstruation, heavy spotting, pain during intercourse, constipation, and nausea.
In her book, she described the result of committing to an anti-inflammatory diet that eliminated processed foods, dairy, refined sugar, and packaged snacks. She wrote, “I started to feel deeply, thrillingly alive. For the first time in my life, I understood the concept of ‘wellness’.”
Signing on to be a brand ambassador for a company that shares her mission and beliefs – like Giggles N’ Hugs – is a partnership that truly aligns itself with her brand. Mowry-Hardrict is determined to help the world understand that healthy eating is not inherently lacking in taste and wants to eliminate that stigma.
The big bottom line is that healthy eating is a must. “It’s not just because they’re packed with nutrients and are simply good for you. I’m determined to push past that stigma because whole, natural foods, cooked with love, taste absolutely fantastic. You heard me: fantastic.”
