Janet Jackson Shares The Cutest First Photo of Three-Month Old Son Eissa
Over the weekend, Janet Jackson surprised her 1.2 million Instagram followers with a sweet photo of her infant son, Eissa, captioned, “My baby and me after nap time.” In the photo, the Grammy award winner can be seen placing kisses against her son’s tiny temple as he opens his mouth mid-yawn.
The shared photo is a sweet, simple photograph and is such a pure unstaged moment of happiness. It is also our first look at Jackson’s little bundle of joy, as the new mother has been quiet about sharing aspects of her personal life publicly, particularly Eissa. The baby photo reveal also comes at the heels of Jackson’s separation announcement.
Janet Jackson has been a fixture of entertainment news lately, following the news of her split from now-estranged husband, Qatari billionaire, Wissam Al Mana. The notoriously private couple had been an item for years before marrying in a private ceremony in 2012.
Jackson took a break from her revitalized career as a performer in 2016 when she announced that she and Wissam Al Mana would be focusing on planning a family. Their son, Eissa, was born on January 3, 2017. A few short months after his birth on April 8, the couple announced their separation through Jackson’s rep.
According to sources, there is speculation that the pair’s different lifestyles could have played a factor in the decision to dissolve their marriage. Although the two might not have made for the most harmonious union romantically, they insist that they will both be the best parents they can possibly be for Eissa.
Post-separation, Wissam Al Mana seems to have no problem showing the public his affinity for Ms. Jackson. On his official website, in a section entitled “Love”, he included a photo of Jackson, with the dedication:
“To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x”
Could a reunion be in the near future for the couple?
At 50, this is the pop icon’s first child and we’re glad to see that mama and baby are doing just fine.
