Justine Skye’s Future Forward MAC Collaboration Is Serious #BlackGirlMagic

Justine Skye has been featured as a cover girl for a lot of high-profile brands lately. The Brooklyn R&B songstress is making girl boss moves as she navigates campaigns with Dark and Lovely, Forever 21, and now, MAC Cosmetics. Known as “The Purple Unicorn” in honor of her signature violet mane, Justine Skye teamed up with the black haircare line Dark and Lovely to act as a spokeswoman for their purple hair color line, Plum Passion. She successfully collaborated with Forever 21 as the face of their festival collection. And now, with MAC Cosmetics, the young boss babe has launched her very own iridescent powder with the popular makeup brand.

The line of highlighter powders is a part of a MAC campaign featuring the singer that “highlights” the need for makeup that accentuates darker skin tones. Who better to pioneer such an initiative than this ebony-skinned beauty? The line is full of shimmering pink and purple and shades, formulated specifically with darker skinned women in mind who are looking to wear bright colors, but also a seamless blend. The shades glitter and glow just like the 21-year-old seems to. The highlighters are beautiful and might even give Laura Mercier a run for her money.

The “Collide” singer took to Instagram to celebrate the collaboration with MAC. In her caption, she says, “Thank you for such an amazing opportunity and experience last night I can’t believe this is really happening! #MACFutureForward”
