The Names of Beyonce and JAY-Z’s Twins Reportedly Revealed
Watch the throne! The names of the newborn twins and the latest additions to the Carter legacy have been revealed.
TMZ reports that Jay and Bey’s company filed trademarks for the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter – meaning those are the names of the Carter Twins.
The 35-year-old “Formation” singer and the 47-year-old “99 Problems” rapper welcomed one boy and one girl into the world earlier this month. The twins experienced some minor complications shortly after their birth and reportedly had to remain in the hospital “under the lights” to be treated for jaundice.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the twins were able to leave the hospital and join their family at home.
The Carters have been having a whirlwind of a month. Beyonce gave Jay the best Father’s Day ever when she gave birth to the couple’s twins a week ahead of the Hallmark holiday. And today marked the release of JAY-Z’s 13th studio album 4:44 to rave reviews so far.
JAY-Z got very candid on the album and even touched on the subject of his past infidelities that might have played a role in Beyonce’s miscarriages:
“I still mourn this death, I apologize for all the stillborns
‘Cause I wasn’t present, your body wouldn’t accept it
I apologize to all the women whom I Toyed with you emotions because I was emotionless”
The Brooklyn rapper also spoke of how those infidelities might trickle down into the kind of man his family sees, namely his oldest daughter, Blue Ivy:
“And if my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do
If they ain’t look at me the same
I would prob’ly die with all the shame
“You did what with who?”
What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate?
“You risked that for Blue?”
If I wasn’t a superhero in your face
My heart breaks for the day I had to explain my mistakes
And the mask goes away and Santa Claus is fake
And you go online and see”
For Blue’s tooth, the tooth fairy didn’t pay”
The new father of three will be headlining a tour to support the album later on this year.
Sir and Rumi Carter join 5-year-old sister Blue as heirs to the Carter thrones and hip hop royalty in the making.
Congrats to the Carters – we wish them all the health, wealth, and prosperity in the world!
