Ciara is a dedicated mother, wife, model, singer and now a host! It has been confirmed that the mother of  3-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn and eight-month-old Sienna Princess Wilson will join Ryan Seacreast and actress Jenny McCarthy as hosts of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve!

According to US Weekly, the Grammy-awarded singer will bring in the New Year as host of West Coast broadcast of the Hollywood Party. Ciara, who previously performed her hit singles “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” on the annual holiday celebration in 2005, shared her excitement on her new gig in a statement. “When I performed on this show back in 2005, I was so young and it was so special and exciting to be part of such an iconic show” she said. “Over 10 years later, it’s a really great feeling to say I’ve had the opportunity to host and perform on the show and I can’t wait to ring in the New Year with the world.”

This year will mark the 46th anniversary of the renowned holiday special. The special will include five-and-a-half hours of performances and coverage of New Year’s Eve celebrations from around the globe! As US Weekly reports, this will be the 12th year in a row, Seacrest will serve as host and lead the countdown to the New Year live from New York City’s Time Square. McCarthy will provide live onsite commentary from the crowd – similar to previous shows.

“We are excited to have Ryan and Jenny back in Times Square and are thrilled to welcome Ciara to the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve family as our west coast host!” Mark Bracco, Dick Clark Productions co-executive producer and executive vice president of programming and development said in a statement. “An American tradition for 46 years, we look forward to an incredible night of entertainment, musical performances and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve celebrations that will unite the country from coast to coast.”
