Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Welcome Baby Girl Via Surrogate
She’s here! Kanye and Kim Kardashian West welcomed their third child via surrogate.
The reality star confirmed the exciting news on her website and social media early Tuesday (January 16). “Kanye and I are happy to announce the arrival of our healthy, beautiful baby girl.” Kardashian wrote in a post on her site. “We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,”
The baby girl joins older siblings North, 4, and Saint, 2, making five at the Kardashian-West household. “North and Saint are especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister,” she added.
Kardashian has been very vocal about her issues with carrying another child. During her pregnancy with North, the now mother-of-three suffered from preeclampsia, a condition characterized by high blood pressure, swelling, and a restriction of blood flow, as well as placenta accreta, a condition in which the placenta remains attached to the uterus rather than coming out after giving birth. After undergoing surgery, she was able to conceive Saint but suffered from placenta accreta. In 2017, Kardashian underwent surgery to help carry a third child. Although the surgery was not successful, the Wests did not give up and decided to go with a surrogate.
