Ayesha Curry to Host New ABC Series ‘Family Food Fight’
Get ready guys because Ayesha Curry is heading to small screen as host of a new cooking competition!
According to Page Six, the cookbook author and superstar mom will serve as host and executive produce the new competition series “Family Food Fight” for ABC. The culinary series will stray away from the traditional route and forgo professional chefs for families. Based on an Australian format of the same name, “Family Food Fight” will pit eight families from the Unites States against each other to determine the country’s top food family and reward them with a prize of $100,000.
Following the announcement, Curry took to Instagram to share her excitement about her forthcoming series. “So excited I FINALLY get to talk about this.” Curry wrote before sharing an adorable video. “This mama has been hard at work on a new exciting project!!!”
I’m cooking up a new show with @abcnetwork! I can’t wait for you all to see #FamilyFoodFight – a competition featuring 8 families who will battle for the title of America’s No. 1 Food Family. Not only will they win the title…they will also win $100,000! More deets to come! ❤ #pregnantladiesgetitdonetoo
This isn’t the first time the soon-to-be mommy of three lent her culinary skills to a television series. The busy mom and wife to Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry previously hosted “Ayesha’s Homemade” for the Food Network and also served as co-host of ABC’s “The Great American Bake Show,” before its abrupt cancellation.
As of right now, there is no premiere date set for the series but be sure to stay tuned for updates!
