I don't think any child under 15 should have a FB page, but my 19 year old friended me when she was about 16 and my son did as well. He is now 22.

Kids have wayyyy to much freedom which is why a young girl could give birth to a child without her parents even realizing she was pregnant (www.blackamericaweb.com). My children are not my friends. I am the parent. They are the children and those roles need to remain defined and should never be blurred. less

Yes you should because that way you can see who your child's friends are and what their posting up on their pages.

Neither of my adult children have their own children and I have no intention on having my now 10 year old have a FB page. What I don't know that my kids do, comes to light. My older two have made some poor choices, but not so poor that they haven't come to me about them. And they know that they can talk to me about anything. It took a lot for me to build that relationship with them. If I thought i should go through the extreme of getting passwords and all of that, they would not be allowed on my computer at home to have a FB page. less
