African Pride Herbal Oil is great. Keeps hair moisturized and shiny also encourages growth. I use it on my daughter's scalp and rub some in my hands to coat the ends. If you don't like that get tea tree oil (it has other natural oils in it) from Sallys in the ethnic section.

I use Dudley Q's hair and scalp conditioner and their PCA moisture retainer daily on my 2.5 years olds hair. It smells great and it keeps her hair looking moisturized and healthy! If you have a large bearuty supply near you see if they carry it. I have to order it online, thier S&H is pricey but the product is worth it and I buy the large containers. I just  found a beauty supply in my area that carries one product and will ask them to order the other for me, it may be less that what I pay for thier shipping.
